When Tet comes, every child looks forward to cooking banh chung all night, laughing with siblings with great expectations for the new year. But not every child stays up for more than midnight, and that’s when they realize: “Oh, it turns out my women are awesome. Every day they prepare decent meals without any complaint.”

Growing up as a cook to take care of our own small family, these warm memories can’t help but make us smile, a memory that we want to pass on to future generations.
