Pham Khanh Thanh

There is hardly any painting style having as many familiar, unique and special patterns as in landscape paintings made by Pham Khanh Thanh. Each one presents an abnormal aspect and trees are realized to be the main subject of works. They are not lone tree- trunks but wide forests of the Southern region with a street corner of green space and white Chinaberry flowers, early-fall bloomed milk flowers, red clusters of flowers in summer, bright water surface in a colourful spring scenery, or a misty and familiar landscape of water, firmament, plants and trees. Penmanship is also a rare selection with combination of the painting style of impression school artists like Paul Signac and smooth strokes presenting a very Rococo romantic realism feature without falling into the boring situation. The colour mixture varies through scenes: bright and fresh lime, pink, blue, green, titanium white, … all like songs on a charmful landscape of the nature. Pham Khanh Thanh was born in 1972 in Hanoi. He graduated from Hanoi University of Fine Arts in 1998 together with many other great contemporary artists of Vietnam. He offered many exhibitions in Hanoi, Thailand, Hong Kong, Malaysia and many other places.
