Nguyen Thanh Binh

….Nguyễn Thanh Bình is known for his series of paintings of young women, ballet dancer, mother and child in various compositions and a romantic realistic style which is uniquely, and distinctively his over the past 30 years. Without a close scrutiny and the foundational knowledge of fine arts , it is impossible to dissect Nguyễn Thanh Bình’s paintings which seem to be similar to each others . He has the ability to exploit, from a very familiar subject matter, the diverse perspectives in postures, and behaviors, that lead to the creation of complex content. In many scenes of young women, Nguyễn Thanh Bình does not focus on describing the portrait, but let the posture of the subject to elicit expressions of the character’s inner thought and emotion…..
