Introduction

It seems that in Vietnam, Thanh Chuong is the only Vietnamese painter who created the haunting paintings that obsess and inspire Vietnamese countryside soul in each painting by the strongest way. The painter recounted his own childhood story by using colorful paintings, but it also reminds us the sad mood. It is a contiguity to the northern field in the windy season and the field is waiting for spring rain. Among the brilliant contrast colors, his paintings are passionate and decisive. There are a thoughtful face and closed eyes, there is a gentle buffalo sitting side by side to listen to the whispers of the little friend. The story is very poetic and pathetic in Thanh Chuong’s paintings.
