Coming from a family with traditional art, Bui Huu Hung entered the art world at a very early stage and was one of the leading Vietnamese artists on lacquer during the Doi Moi period. His inspirations always revolve around stories of the palace, noblewomen, historical scenes, traditional costumes... All tinged with ancient colors, containing old days through the depth of works and skillful techniques of Bui Huu Hung.
