Introduction

With the yellow and orange color, Nguyen Minh Phuoc takes the viewer to the journey to find themselves through the image of the monks on pilgrimage. The empty, the full, the existence, the non-existent, the ambiguous, the clear, the past, the future. A vast space where unknown things exist, a pilgrimage to the realm of the Buddha land awake our desires to seek the enlightment. The mysterious and colorful spiritual spaces in Nguyen Minh Phuoc’s paintings have become a special feature in Vietnamese contemporary fine arts as he aims to promote the religious values and wisdom of the Buddha.
