Bui Thanh Thuy always uses very simple words when naming her works, such as "Alone", "Touch", "Spring", ... and even many untitled works. However, her paintings always go beyond those mere names because it travels through space-time and reproduces her perspective on the story of the universe of consciousness. The name in Abstract is practically unnecessary because it should not be confined to the limit but always need people to freely roam around in their minds. Sometimes names that are too complex bind people to certain emotions, making them unable to go beyond the barrier of words and feel uncomfortable with their own emotions.
For example, in the work "Alone", to the viewers, some people will feel this work intensely because of its characteristic color spills, but others feel sad and frustrated. Therefore, Bui Thanh Thuy always chooses very simple names, so that viewers have the vaguest feeling about the work and let them discover their own feelings of self.
